I love how unglamorous this transition is! Fantasy often makes wearing full plate armor look effortless, but showing a 13-year-old struggling under the weight of a shield, pack, and helmet—while accidentally slicing an ally—is pure comedy gold. The narrator's voice is spot-on for a teenager. The mix of genuine horror, deep embarrassment over the woman's torn gown, and immediate regret at stepping away from Sean's basement makes him instantly relatable.
